LET'S TRY AGAIN..ONE LAST TIME
If you’re thinking of a specific person
after reading the title of this,
trust me— I’ve been there too.
Breaking up and getting back together
can give us such a high that we can honestly forget how important
it is to have safety, security, trust and peace.
Relationships can be hard, but they’re not supposed to be that hard.
Loving someone so deeply and feeling intense feelings that you
love and hate having, can keep you feeling a rush—
but the constant internal struggle, the worrying, the lack of inner peace,
is it worth it?
I know some of those reading this may be young and want to
experience a type of love that constantly makes our heads spin.
But how many assignments, meetings, or important social gatherings
were pushed to the side because your relationship was on the rocks
for the umpteenth time?
Healthy love and relationships
can make our heads spin,
I promise you.
Don’t settle for less because you’re
chasing a feeling you thought only one person could give you.
You will find the right person.
Usually, it happens when we’re not looking.
The world is filled with so many individuals
who are waiting to give you love, to give you a rush,
to give you a high
that you had no idea you were able to experience.
If you’re with someone who causes you to question
your self-worth and sense of self because their actions drive you
to make reckless and irrational decisions,
you are not loving yourself by being with this person.
So, honestly?
Let’s not try again, one last time.
Remember that “going back to each other” isn’t love,
especially when we had already decided to walk away.
Stop choosing people who are inconsistent with you.
If you truly love someone, you can love them from a distance.
Wish them well, and move forward.
Instead of trying again, one last time—
choose yourself this time.
